The Introverting Wasps

Please leave me alone,

To dream of life before this one.

To wander off onto a cloud unknown,

Bu no other soul other than me.

Make-believe, drives me free,

Off atop the sunken territory.

But no, the wasps are wild,

And bit and gnaw my inner child.

They play with wisdom and haunt my dreams,

Turning pleasant reveries into mares with energy.

Tear at me, tell me things,

Things of hurt and things that recede,

My entire life in front of me.

Please leave me alone.

I wish I didn’t need to write this poem.
