Interrupted

Lives intersecting, leaving
scars on skin already sliced
we come to visit mountains,
to crawl through caves, and
feel too deeply, to stumble

over words, keep the world
to ourselves, we section off
the pieces shattered, knowing
repairs can't be made everyday.
