Computers, iPads, iTouches, iPhones, laptops, PCs, smartphones, dumbphones, MP3 players, ereaders,

What's next...Mind Readers?

Blinking, vibrating, buzzing, singing, ringing, tapping, zapping, drumming,

meowing, barking, chirping, croaking, raining, thundering, squealing, whistling,

disco music, bro country, rock, oldies, classical, hip hop,

opera, rap, Indie, big band, Top 40 pop,

You name it...the sounds of ring tones never stop!

All day long I connect with people, texting, emailing, Facebooking, Facetiming, Skyping, tweeting, Instagramming,

Always, always typing; abbreviated, short-hand, text language cramming.

Makes no sense to know so many people, all over the world, able to talk any time, any place,

And never, ever meet  them face to face.

I touch the world everyday electronically,

Wouldn't it be nice to do it personally?

They say the world is smaller today because of the internet,

I disagree and say we are longing for more actual, physical human contact.

How about we stop and step out of the race,

shake hands, share stories and stand face to face,

..........................that's how we'll save the human race.
