Instant Release

Head, shoulders, knees, and toes,

Ankle biting and cold air,

nothing to stop me,

but so many things to keep me away.

How does one make words

into sentences again?

The world has forgotten,

and I'm all thats left to meet the way.

Sweet smells swim to my nose,

but that doesn't stop my focus,

there is no shoulders, knees, and toes,

only my head throbbing to interpret.

Like blind children aching for food,

I bring the light into their eyes with words.

With braided lead and tree bark

my words are turned into gold.

There is no chemistry but discovery,

no passion but of understanding,

no skill of common ancestry

to simple words that all have forgotten

but me.
