insomnia

The night will fall once more

Leaving us cold and breathless

Tired and hungry

Awaiting for the day to come

Mesmerizing you

Wishing that the night was forever

But fore there are creatures in the night

Listening and watching every graceful move you make

The sounds keeping you on edge

Waiting watching the clock strikes 12

RUN you hear RUN AND HE WON’T CATCH YOU!

And run you do run faster faster faster until you’re flying

Every time your foot hit the ground caused you to ache

Wanting to leave and never look back

But as you ran you found

That everyone is lonely so no point in running

No point at all

So you let the monster consume you

Listen to the monster for he will not harm you

But in reality he gets you to harm yourself

Every drop of blood flowing out of you making you more and more satisfied

Making you want more and more

He tells you lies about yourself

“Pretty” he calls you

“Perfect” he says

But truthfully you’re anything but fine

He calls you fat so you starve yourself

Leaving you hungry and exhausted

After that he makes you so happy almost as if all the sadness the anxiety has drained out of you

But truthfully he only makes the happiness disappear

And here you sit dehydrated, trying to find the oxygen breathing in and out carelessly

You’re freezing for you have no body heat to keep you warm

So here you are the clock strikes 6am and once again you’ve gotten no sleep
