Insignificant Artist

Location

There are seven billion people on this planet that I have yet to meet,

and one hundred ninety-five countries I have not visited.

Yet I am stuck in this insignificant town,

being pressured into making decisions about my future,

when I barely even know who I am.

When all I know is inspiration,

that making art that could impact people's lives is all I care to do.

When all things considered,

I would never be truly happy if I was unable to create,

to make jewelry and ceramics, watercolors and chalk pastels, and so much more,

for others and myself.

There are seven billion people on this planet that have yet to see what I am capable of,

and one hundred ninety-five countries that have no idea my art even exists.

Yet I am stuck in this insignificant town,

pressured by thoughts of finding a way to actually succeed at my dreams,

when I have barely begun my path to make my art known.
