Inside Your Hands-A Tragedy
Inside Your Hands-A Tragedy
I crawled into the safety of
The palm of your hand
And though the stars of the galaxy inside
Were annoyingly bright
It was okay
I got tired of the light
And slipped into the darkness
And the stars became a part of me
And though I took them for granted
It was okay
You got tired of the light too
And you crushed the galaxy
That we had so long danced in
But dear, did you realize
You crumpled me, too?
You are writhing in the darkness
And pulling me down too
My eyes, they’re dimming
Even though my head’s above water,
It’s not okay
