The Indescribable Feeling of Loss

Breathing but the heart is still
Like the calm winds before a hurricane
A nightmare rather surreal
But the eyes are wide awake
Yet behind indignation, emotional turbulence and sorrow
There was the revelation of a mind
I fear, the soul is numb
Drifting like ice floating on lonely waters

The skies are as deep blue as the ocean on a stormy day
Clouds crying loudly
Silence became noise
Emotions scattered like leaves in Autumn

The indescribable feeling of loss
The memories left behind are a tressure like gold
Locked in our hearts
Heavy as an anchor
Difficult to carry
"How do we move on? ", we ask ourselves
Truth is we never do
We take the memories with us as we continue on our paths.
God heals all wounds
