To Indeed be a God

I eat my words like the last supper

Judas is my conscience

Desperation no prayer will heal

I say, Break my overextended mind like bread

and drink my nobility like wine.

To Indeed be a god

To lift a finger and wipe a tear from his face

My thoughts are proverbs, my lips speak only psalms

My mind beats and pounds like a hammer beating a screw

Into my ready hands in order to relieve other's pain

My eyes are open wide plastered,

My mind breaks through lies of necessity

To seek wisdom from my own tongue

To defy what is natural

To reach down to thy neighbor

I say

"Break my mind and drink my worth

I will still love you"

And in desperation and lies I will rise from the ashes

To live through hell

To choose the path of righteousness
