impunity

“I pledge allegiance the the flag of the united states of america.”

Should I really pledge what I have left

Or save it for the day that walls won't be built

I have never seen community in our cities

Only violence and impunity.

Police brutality, leaving innocent kids dead.

Disunity from city to city.

A drug war on our community.

I should be happy to be free,

But can I ask free from what exactly?

I will never be truly free without our country's unity.

No more hate and lets not discriminate.

Lets let brutality be a finality.

Now let's end our nation's doom

Lets finally pledge our allegiance to our nation's flag.
