(im)mortal love

Have you ever tried to write about the one you love?

Struggling to find the purest of words to fulfill

The way they make your heart soar like the wings of a dove.

Beating so fast cannot be healthy but cannot be still.

Because when it comes to love there is no bigger blessing

You stole my heart and I am forever trespassing

It’s a crime that I am quite proud to be confessing

So sentence me to death because love’s made me immortal cannot be killed

But if your life makes me a foreigner

And the distance between us is too far to drive

Go ahead and send in the coroner

Because life without you is one I will never survive.
