Imminent Nirvana

Dear Future,

I yearn for the sensation of your reassuring caress,

the blazing star in the sullen space that is endless.

I step towards you in the hopes of capturing your attention,

then I realize I am your most pitied direction.

Fragile tears eased in your shadow, hastily fallen

into the isolating tack of snow.

My dedication is to your promise,

that you will someday be my goddess.

Your willows weep in wait for me,

wishing to camouflage my tragedy.

Hope is embodied in your sun kissed embers,

which I refuse to dismember.

Do not abandon what you left behind -

but carry all haunted burdens blind.

Sway me at the entrance of your gilded gates,

And the sapphire tides of sky will approve

of what you create.

Love,

us
