Imaginary Friend

Maybe I can build a friend,

who pats me on the back,

tells me encouraging words,

someone who will be there forever,

someone who won't judge or leave,

and maybe when we see each other,

we'd blush and look away,

hoping for the other to say something,

then he looked me in the eyes,

and says: "will you be with me forever?"

I reach out to touch him and scream "yes!",

but he disappears,

my imaginary friend.
