"I'm A Rose"

I am a young rose. I have yet to open my bud. I am growing each dy. The leaves and thorns are visible parts. My color is slowly beginning to show. A subtle pink proves to spectators I am alive. People see a beautiful creation before their eyes. I am fragile and my petals begin to fall. The rain pours down to nourish me. I gain strength in my roots. I turn from a fragile bud to a confident rose. God has given me a reason to live. I continue to grow and lean about the world around me Thank you for supporting my growth.

Reminds me of a poem I wrote last year called "I, Rose." I prefer this poem, though. God has given you a reason to live!
