"I'm Only Me."
I'm creeping, crawling, though hardly seeing;
I'm sleeping, sprawling, though barely being;
I'm leaping, falling, though always freeing;
I'm just me, why can't you see?
I'm always trying, always going;
I'm rarely stopping, rarely slowing;
I'm never losing, never...knowing;
I'm just me, why can't you see?
I'm reaching, grabbing for a friend;
I'm hoping, dreading for the end;
I'm waiting, slowly to ascend;
I'm just me, why can't you see?
It's only me, I'm just alone;
I am all I've ever known;
These are my oats I have sown;
...It's only me, why can't you see?
