You say I’m not model size

Except when it is through your eyes

You say no one will ever love me

Except that you have always loved me

 

You say nobody will ever understand me

With the way I live and all my crazy

You say that I should be yours too

But own me is something you can’t do

 

You say that you will love me forever 

Except that time when we were together

You say you really need me to live 

Except when they have more to give

 

You say that I am beautiful to you

But everyone else will hate and refuse

You say that I deserve much more 

But that’s my decision, not yours anymore

 

It’s been a while since that time
