I'm Done

I can see through the make believe and lies that she tells you to comfort you at night,
So you fall straight back, right into her arms, you fall asleep like nothing was said or done wrong,
But you’ve always been oblivious; to what's in front of you, playing like your favorite song,
Lost in the moment, but you don’t want to blow it, so you go along knowing one day it’ll all be gone,
Tossing out reasons like following the seasons, colored leaves falling down as winter grows on,
Banking on hours that you’re losing through the night, only between the love of dusk and dawn,
So I’ve paid my dues and I’m saying so long, its no longer for me to be your protective arm,
I'm done wasting my time and warning you of all the ways that you already have been pushed through harm.
