I'll wait

Kind words

 Charming smile

Direct eye contact

 He’s calm cool and collected

Beneath the surface

Gears turning

Mind churning

No stone untouched, no thought neglected

Words.

He has a way with them

But never to reveal

His inner most thoughts

His feelings

He won’t express, he will keep concealed

I want him to feel safe

To trust me

But rush him I will not

Slow and steady

Wins the race

That’s what I was always taught

Patience

I have an abundance of

I do not mind the wait

Just as he does

In rippling fresh waters

Anticipating a fish to snag his bait

I’m a good catch

He will know my worth

Time will reveal it

I’m sure

I’ll just be myself

And hopefully one day

A relationship with me

He will want to procure
