If you look deep in my eyes

You could find out about me

I never express it 

Unless it's in poetry

You would find pain and broken memories

Hidden scars somewhere you couldn't see

No one knows about it

Except for myself

I give my all to suppress it

And I end up with nothing left

I gave what I had

Never seems to be enough

When those feelings arise

I remember to be tough

It's hard to do this

To hide what you feel

Sometimes you gotta show it

So you know what is real

We all cover some things

We don't want people to know 

But all that really does

Is prevent us to grow
