If I Were Me

These eyes are sore,

These feet are weak,

I've been crying in my sleep.

This heart does pound,

This heart does sprint,

I've been flying in the deep.

These hands, they twitch,

These teeth, they clink,

I've been riddling thoughts to keep.

Or should I toss them out the door?

They're more than I am looking for.

They make me sore,

They make me weak,

I pound, I sprint, I twitch, I clink.

These riddles I so much adore,

Haunt me, taunt me, an endless chore,

Compell and spell me,

Imprison and pale me,

Destroy me slowly, rushing all around me.

I'm trouble through and through,

If I were me, I would do what I should do.
