I would draw out all the hate in the world

Like sucking out the bad blood to save a life

I would wrap it all up in a pretty package

And swallow it whole

So that a little girl can grow up feeling beautiful

So that a young boy can love who he wants

So that women in every land can live without fear

So that the people I care for never have to hurt again

I would drink the poison that runs in our veins

So that the only 'n' word a man would be called would be 'neighbor'

So that all children would know the meaning of 'I love you'

So that every troubled soul could find forgiveness for themselves

So that no one would have to be alone
