I WATCH YOU FLICK THE LIGHTER

I watch you walk up to the drug store counter

From the way you were anxious for cigarettes,

I knew you were a smoker

I watch as you flick the lighter, and

Smoke like it's your one desire

You only care about yourself

So you don't notice that these

Nicotene sticks

Are starting fires

You say you quit,

But I don't believe in liars

You put the lighter away for a month,

Just to take it back out again

You're trying to tell me you're good

But OH SHUT UP!

Cuz it's all PRETEND

I watch you flick the lighter

And

Watch you smoke like it's your one desire

You said you quit,

But

You're spittin the lies of the common liars

I see you smoke

And I

Get so angry,

I can't even comprehend

And I

See you drink and my visions start to blend

So chug the bottles,

And whatever follows

Prepare for the battles

Cuz when you're feeling like crap the next morning,

Those are your problems

Have fun losing your vision,

As you wobble back and forth,

Have fun in your next collision

I watch you flick the lighter

And

Watch you smoke like it's your one desire

I mean

What's the point?

Does it ACTUALLY bring you PLEASURE as you smoke that joint?

Does it bring you pleasure

As you wake up the next morning,

Not knowing what happened last night?

"Yea, it feels great!"

Yea, uh-uh, not quite

You enjoy yourself as you lose your sight,

To your beloved love of alcohol

I mean

Do you use your mind at all?

Drugs, alcohol

Smokes and needles

They mean nothing to me,

As I watch you flick the lighter,

As you smoke like it's your one desire,

They're all needless illegal evils
