I was you

I use to be you

the quiet unloved girl sitting off in the corner

waiting for someone to notice me

the girl who got caught up in all the high school drama

the attention seeking teenager

i use to be you

the kid who thought about suicide

the kid who thought about walking down the street

around the corner to the gun shop to purchase a

9mm shotgun to end it all

i was you

i was the human who thought that suicide was the answer

but it's not

i learned it the hard way

i learned that I have more life to live

i learned that life is too valuable to loose

i was you

i was the person who didn't want to live

i was the person who wanted to give up
