I want to be a child

Sat, 11/08/2014 - 06:03 -- sreye1

I don't want to be the druggie that has to consume chemicals

to feel young again.

I don't want to be the girl up to her eyeballs in debt,

Because she began to hate the people she loved.

I don't want to lose passion.

I want to feel the heartbeat of the Earth, pulse throughout the ground

even if I live in New York City.

I want to feel a connectedness to the Earth as I run.

I want to dance and not care of my surroundings.

I want to share love with everyone I meet.

I want to have the spirit of a curious child.

I don't want to grow old.
