I like totally

A list of things I like,

just because I think

you've never done this either;

been close, been touched,

been trying to say hello

but reduced to sleeping on the floor

because you're too sick...

I like having my hair washed.

It's thick and heavy,

and when you pick it up,

it's one less weight on me.

Scrub my scalp as hard as you want,

and feel free to comment on my shampoo.

It feels too good to care.

I like hearing stories.

I would have majored in anthro

if it meant I could collect tales,

talk to fisherman and old women,

eat with mathematicians

and drink to sadness.

You can't bore me,

I think you're too socially smart.

I like having people move my glasses,

use my hands to guide me,

hug me when I feel dissociated,

beat me at my own games while teaching me strategy.

You can eat my food, lend me books I can't read,

code messages, and listen to music I don't understand.

Make friends I don't know.

Message other people with good news.

Just make sure you tell me,

because I love to see you happy.

But mostly, I just like your presence.

It's not always calming,

but it is nice to have someone

I always know wants to see this list.
