Before I Stay

Before I Stay

September 5, 2018 ~ Wednesday

What if I put right what I got wrong

And I put it into a song

What if you should decide

That you don’t want me there by your side

That you don’t want me there in your life

And we used to stand up for what is right

Can you tell me what happened that night

Was it all just the life before her eyes

It would come as no surprise

Here I’m writing all the time

And worse is, it isn’t mine this time, is it

So I’ll come crashing back down

To the place I once found to be sweet and safe and sound

Give me one reason to stay

And not 3 more to go

If I leave before I stay

Then I guess I’ll never know
