I See You (4)

Amidst the throng

Brewing your day’s agenda

Corner by corner

Dodging the impassive faces

Eating my words

Further down the sidewalk,

Growing bigger,

Hiding no longer

I see you

Joyous, in the brightest light

Keeping a short distance

Leaning on my knees to catch my breath

Moving quietly forth

Noticing your look of surprise

Opening your mouth

Preparing for your worse

Quitting all my fears

Running nervous hands through my hair

Sneaking a glance at you,

Tugging on my heartstrings

Unaware of your thoughts of

Valuing my love

Wavering under my words

X-ing the distance to me

Yearning for the years to come

Zoning on the best of me
