I Remember Our Pact

I remember our pact. We had no forms. No genders. Just our essence and our energies colliding and complimenting and embracing one another. We agreed to meet at one's worst point and pull together and be happy. We were different. You felt like you had a few more years under your belt and I felt a few years older by heart and spirit. We were one of the same and we had a lot in common. We just felt right together. I didn't feel like I had to hide anything from you and that reciprocates. Our pact stood with time, trial, and error and it still does. I remember our pact...before we were born. We were just happy old spirits before we separated. We talked. We laughed. We joked. And we promised each other as we felt ourselves being pulled apart for what felt like yet another go-round that we'd see each other soon. It'll be a bumpy road, but it always has been that way. We're content, genuine, and we have stubborn hearts. I remember our pact. In physical form, we weren't gonna be that old at all, but we promised to never break our timeless bond. We live. We love. And we're here. As always. I love you and I always will.
