I Refuse to Know

What even are you?

What is the point?

I don’t see the obsession

Finding you just seems a waste

Why do people go crazy over you?

Why are you all the rage?

You’re pointless and dangerous

And frankly, a bore

How does everyone fall for you?

How are you so powerful?

I have not fallen into your talons

Your call does not reach me

Who would blindly walk to you?

Who would want that kind of leash?

It’s not something worth dying for

But maybe I’m just biased

Where does everyone think you live?

Where do you go when you leave?

You don't prevent the things in the dark

Toxicity runs through your veins

When do your claws sink in?

When does your venom start to run?

I hardly fathom the pressure you provide

Or the desire to accompany it

They’ve got to be gullible to believe in you

There’s no other explanation

Do I want to find the answer?

Do I want to succumb to you?
