I knew i loved you and that you loved me

I knew because it was in your simile the way your eyes would sparkle just by looking at me

I knew you were the one for me 

The day I cried on the phone with you was when I knew that i had fallen hard in love with you

You where the first boy to take me to the movies to fight with me on opening the door because you said that you weren't brought up without opening the door for a female

You tried to pay for everything when you would take me out but i always fought you on that because i didn't want to get attached 

I knew that night we danced that i should have taken my chance at kissing you under the moonlight because it was perfect and for a second i thought you might kiss me 

I know that i still love you because everytime i hear the songs that we dance to or the place where we first danced i can't help but tear up and think about the what ifs

I knew that i loved you but i also knew that you didn't love me 

But that's okay because you showed me how to be prepared for someone who would love me and to never settle for less than what i deserved
