I Greet Mondays Too

Sun, 09/25/2016 - 02:00 -- Tke222

It's Monday again.

Sleeping turns into beeping, I hate my alarm,

but there are things that I don't hate.

Those toasted Blueberry Eggo waffles first thing in the morning,

my space heater to help me stay sane,

the beautiful Oregon pines on my way to class,

splashing the rainy puddles with my boots,

to see that A on my latest test,

the beef ramen that rules my lunch break,

the sunnier but still wet walk to my next class on campus,

smiles from friends I pass on the way,

getting my homework done faster than I expected,

that check-in phone call from my mom around dinner time,

delicious dinner I make from scratch,

watching my Monday show with the roommates that we wait all week for,

the goodnight text from those I love;

these are what I don't hate, excited knowing what I have ahead of me,

even on a Monday.
