I forgot to tell you

Sat, 08/26/2017 - 11:58 -- TeddyB.

I forgot to tell you I made it home last night.

I made it home to the realization that

my place within these ridged walls

lies within your heart.

With you exists no boundaries.

This mysterious illustrious device shadows

over all and everything I've ever known;

Oh divisive love...

What else could turn the deceitful nature of a lie

into a glorious truth that outsiders stumble blindly upon?

What possess a power to ignite an obsession;

to trump the sinful woes of guilt?

Just as heavenly bodies inhabit the endless reaches of space

and illuminate the ever present darkness

the thought of you is woven throughout my mind,

and the image of your smile illuminates what once was bleak and dreary.

You are the center of my emotional world.
