I Can't Help Falling in Love

Blue and silver stars twist together to create a flowing skirt behind her as he holds her closely by the waist, softly, gently, always so delicate. They dance, getting lost in the song. Everyone else melts away as she closes her eyes and sings along. Beautiful and melodic and he can't help but agree with the words pushing their way through the speaker and they are caught in a defining moment. A moment of will this last forever or is he really going to leave after this song. And she closes her ees and wishes on one of the stars in her skirt as hard as she can. The song ends and he looks down at her and smiles. He tells her he had a good time, this was better than the dances he remembers, but he really has to go and of course she smiles back and agrees and lets him leave without a struggle but queitly she is hurting inside as her stomach twists and her eyes fill with tears. She dreams every night she asked him to stay, she wishes she kissed him and she curses those glinting silver stars for not being better than the real thing. Because why is she repeatedly falling in love with him and he never notices, never cares, never feels the same. But she keeps that last dance locked in her memory and anytime the song comes on she smiles and remembers the warm feeling in her heart.
