I Can't Find Salvation in my Lyrics

You have that power that I can never reach,

for I am tangled up in a web of untruths, un-optimal angle. I thought I was okay but your countenance says something different, you float over my outreached fingers like a wave that carries you so far away.

I’m hurting and your eyes say not even worth the salvation, eat your heart out, but I’m hungry and it’s too weak to push the pounding blood out of my ears, and oh god the truth has never hurt more.

You’ve never hurt more, because now I know your name and my demons flinch when I whisper it aloud.

The eyes of everyone I know look into mine and tell me so.
