I bought myself a heart. It hangs around my neck.

cathartic renewal,
i beg to see
the end of the person
that once was me.

i dream to query the Jefferson's, Einstein's, and Tesla's
of a hidden truth we had all once known.

you never belonged in the
company of the loves of my
life, of the authors
writers, poets, broken aged, pure of heart

occasionally, as he lays there
a victim to a temple he knew all too well,
his tears fall for me, his long
and quite lost but soon to be found

the future can never forget the past;
mercy grants previous knowledge
