I am a wave

Mattlyn Renew  Tomattlynrenew@yahoo.com   Personal metaphorBy: Mattlyn Ann Droll  I am a wave.I am as smooth as glass, as smooth as glass until,Boats come and drive all over me, squishing me into the darkness.Jet skis come from nowhere, jumping up.Kids jump all over me,They think I can take it, they think I wouldn’t become a storm.I get mad.I grow 3ft, no 4, 5, 6… I’m no longer a wave… I’m a hurricane. They hurry away from me as I come crashing down. They all disappear, all except the wind who tries to calm me, she calms me, calms me,  I fall, I'm 5ft no, 4, 3, 2, 1, I'm a wave again,As smooth as glass. My mother sets behind my sisters and brothers and me, while my father chases after her.People take pictures of me, because I’ll always be.I’ll be remembered, because you see, I'm a wave.I'm part of a bigger plan, that you will soon see, a bigger plan you’ll see
