I Am A Soldier
I am soldier,
I have no purpose,
And without this uniform, I am strategically worthless,
A hard boiling killing machine, I don’t know what hunger or thirst is,
Im a warrior, so peace is a word of no purpose,
With an AK on my side and grenades in my turban,
Whether in the desert, streets or cradle I’m busting and swerving,
For I am a soldier, a killer, a warrior…..determined
I been in this unforgiving sun since I was about 8,
Every day is a gamble and my death is an inevitable fate,
But on another note life is great because I got 4 kills yesterday so that makes 78,
And after I murder these two babies ima make to 80,
But no matter how many lives I take my hands are still shaky because I have post traumatic stress flashbacks on the daily,
Cuz I wanna see age 9 before im pushing up daisies,
Captain passes my some drugs,
I guess love is the opiates,
Matter fact what is love? Because I thrive on its opposite,
I murder small villages for action figures and melted pieces of chocolate,
The last shootout I pulled woman’s left arm out of its socket,
And prank called her family with the bloody phone I found tucked in the side of her pockets,
It’s a wrap once Asaad gives me the rockets because I kill for diamonds that add to a White man’s profit,
I was taken from my home at age 3,
You probably saw it on Blood Diamond on your HD TVs,
But nothing more real than seeing your parent beheaded on bent knees,
And small children tied in nooses from trees,
At first it was hard, but with no humanity I can do it with it ease,
Lines of execution,
Genocide for the intruders,
Listen to no excuses,
Life is an illusion so I end it,
Ive turned into a menace,
There aint no Machine Preacher, Don Cheadle or Leonardo Dicaprio,
In the Congo its fight or get skulls cracked like pistachios,
Im an avenger, I am Satan’s helper,
Ill rob a supply train and set flame to a civilian shelter.
But what do you expect?
I don’t know any better,
I never been to school, I don’t even know my numbers and letters,
Before I was soldier 438 my name was terrance,
The resistance made me murder my parents,
To mine diamonds, rubies and karats,
IM EXHAUSTED, I haven’t had a meal for days,
And the ground is so hot it feel like im stepping on razor blades,
Most kids play with plastic GI JOEs, but I shoot at the real ones,
Most kids respect their teachers, but yesterday I killed,
Most kids watch Saturday morning cartoons,
But I watch Saturday morning grave digging and get war tattoos,
Most kids are taught about right from wrong,
But after the Civil War I have no home…
I am soldier,
I have no purpose,
And without this uniform, I am strategically worthless,
A hard boiling killing machine, I don’t know what hunger or thirst is,
Im a warrior, so peace is a word of no purpose,
With an AK on my side and grenades in my turban,
Whether in the desert, streets or cradle I’m busting and swerving,
For I am a soldier, a killer, a warrior…..determined
And I grip my machete and feel sympathy for these two abandoned babies,
I remember how no one came back to my cradle to save me,
So I killed them out of protection,
…protection from this murderous slavery,
And though may say that the killing is stupid,
Id rather die like them…Innocent and human
