I am more than you understand
I AM the bathroom stall.
Not just any, but the ones from an elementary school
the place where the children run to
in the middle of a tornado attack
even though an attack like that
is MORE like a goofy man,
with big shoes,
who has some trouble with his dancing,
THAN like a monster;
He spins out of control and is unaware of the land below,
but I will keep YOU safe, dear children.
But please do not take me for granted.
I am the stalls that everyone rushes to
in the middle of a crowded concert.
Where the music booms, and the bodies
swing in weird contortions,
But,
Where without me,
It’s like losing a beat;
the one that even the grooviest people cannot
dance without.
For who wants to dance if they pee their pants?
They take me for granted.
I am the one that is historical,
the inspiration that makes people write.
I am the place where no one is judged
I am the random poem, picture, or derogatory remark that keeps us all a
little less crazy
because no matter what,
I UNDERSTAND.
And I may just be the public bathroom stall,
But I promise:
not to falter,
fall,
nor forget.
Because even someone like me has a purpose,
Just try not to take me for granted.
