I am me
I am me,
I am powerful.
I am a leader.
I am Hispanic.
I am queer.
I am a human being.
I cry, I shout, I plead for the ending of hate
I kiss, I love, I breath.
I am me, I am a human being.
I smell of dusty streets, and poverty
I look across the line and see my brothers and sisters crying for help.
I am my voice, I am my words, and I speak for those who are silenced
by the never ending hate and spite and capital white.
I am brave, my voice and words are brave.
We are both human beings, we both have the power of words.
This poem is about:
