I Am Lost

I am afraid I am lost

Although I have conviction

When I say my name is mine

I do not feel tied to the label

Who is she? an ordinary question

Unless you have to ask it about yourself

Especially when the words

Pour into your brain

With such spite, you weren't sure

It was your thought at all

--

I know I am lost

By the way my feet travel

Turning this way and that

Never choosing sides

Flip a coin to decide

Tales I go left

Heads I go right

Guess I'll know

When I finally get there
