I am an end table

I let you think you know me although, I know  you never could.

The role I play is droning,

The drapes match the wood

Oak, cherry, teak and birch

Choose a finish for me

Line by line; I’m Lying

Down to the roots;

Bleach it blonde, I’m dying.
