childhood bliss, wonder, and awe

the first day of kindergarten 

tears streaming down and the moving trucks 

the polo shirt uniforms and new nicknames 

brokenness from a bully 

insecurity and doubt 

new friendships followed by terrible goodbyes

a fresh start and an open mind

the first stamp on a passport page

new perspective 

the greatest victory

joy admist the sorrow

through the ups and downs I throw my hands up

and ride the ride I have been given 

this is my roller coaster life
