I am new.

I am new and strong.

I am new, alive and singing a new song.

The way I was before,

Is not the way I walk now.

Since the time my heart became whole,

And the moment I heard the sound.

I have become a new creature,

A child of the Father.

Through dust I was begotten,

But it was through His grace my sins are forgotten.

I am promised life everlasting,

A life beyond this one.

I am loved beyond imagination,

And forgiven by the glorious Son.

Thank you Lord, I am NOT who I once was,

I am new.
