I AM
I am of reminders, and changed plans,
of big dreams and a small town reality.
I am from my family home and small town,
The sense of familure and known,
Of back roads and playing in the woods,
Long friendships and shred memories.
I am from love and kindness,
Caregiving and compassion,
I am from two loving parents,
Generations of history, living and deceased,
All holding stories and pieces of history,
Continued by Robert and I
I am from the field, sweaty and exhausted.
The bumps, busies and scars of mistakes made,
A broken heart long healed, challenges and silly moments,
Boxes of pictures and a family tree.
