To outsiders, I am just a woman.

To my children, I am wonder-woman.

There were plenty steps to get me here,

although in my eyes compared to where I want to be, I'm no where near.

I married the love of my life while I was young.

To an outsider, it may seem kind of dumb.

I became a step mother at seventeen,

for him and I, no one can come in between.

I had my first bioligical son. 

Believe me, that process was long. 

His twin, however, didn't survive. For a while, I didn't think I would either. 

I followed so many steps, but skipped over many.

All of which collaborated and built me. 

Now I am old enough, wise enough, to know just what I need.

For my two sons, I am giving them a future, that's guaranteed. 

I will not back down, I will not fall down.

I am working to make a life for all of us.

Happiness and success is what I envision for the four of us.
