But I’m screaming these

But I’m screaming these words so softly to your heart, and your ears bleed

they bleed from everything they cannot hear.

I reach out so far and keep missing you,

or are you dancing around my fingertips?

I want to know, but I never want to comprehend.

My bones are breaking from all the love I want so badly to give,

and weeds are growing around my ribs

where flowers once were with petals written so delicately with your name.

But, shh, just for a second

listen for my voice hidden in the fog,

just for a second,

and that second

will be with me for a lifetime.
