Hyde Park

Sets of swings sit on the east corner

next to the electrical wires the shoes dangle from.

A dingy yelloow slide shows signs of happy memories made

and graffiti reads "Jenn H. gives the best head."

Green bushes line the wooden fence;

the seventh graders smoke over here.

The bench by the entrance memorializes some hero

and dirty needles scatter the ground underneath.

The monkey bars had been repainted blue recently

and someone hung themselves there once.
