Humanity, the World, and Me.

Through the vastness of time

And the stretches of the sea

The continents of this earth

Humanity, the world, and me.

What do I see in this place?

Nations that always rise and fall.

People struggle, step, and wander

And listen, cry, and call.

Something here is wrong,

Rotten, fallen, broken.

Hurt, shatter, weakness, pain.

And the wrong only sometimes spoken.

"If you were given just one wish,

What would this just one wish be?"

Such power, bend time and nature,

Humanity, the world, and me.

No bounds on my wish,

I could change everything.

Evil to good.

Hate to love.

War to peace.

Wrong to right.

Hurt gone.

Bad gone.

Utopia.

Yet...

Who am I, how dare I

Force humanity this way?

Take away their choice, uproot

Condemn to puppetry each day?

I don't have wisdom or right

To just rewrite the world's bookshelf.

It's wrong, to force this change by wish;

Can only change myself.

In me, there's wrong too,

Like all others, broken,

Fallen, rotten, shatter,

And the wrong only sometimes spoken.

And so,

"If you were given just one wish,

What would this just one wish be?"

Such power, bend time and nature,

Humanity, the world, and me.

No bounds on my wish,

I could change everything.

Evil to good.

Hate to love.

War to peace.

Wrong to right.

Hurt gone.

Bad gone.

Inner utopia.

A better me.
