The Howling Wind

I awoke to the sound of wailing.

Panicked, I lay,

Eyes closed,

Mind in disarray.

The longer I listened,

The sooner I realised,

'twas the wind crying by my bedside.

The room was dark,

The moon shone through,

Yet the wind was howling,

It's heart was torn in two.
