How we met.

The memory of that day still lingers in my mind,
as a vivid forest around which mist was entwined.

That day was when, I lost a caring acquaintance
but gained someone who had a good ambience.

The clock ticked on, months went by
but I wasn't the type to approach first and then reply.

I did, fiddle about and fritter time away
but nevertheless you still made your way.

We did our introductions and chit-chatted all day ,
but it didn't influence me greatly in anyway.

Days went by and routinely we met
but it wasn't the time , we weren't close yet .

When you weren't around , I felt lost
your presence around now, mattered the most.

I certainly realised it late,
that now,you aren't just my classmate.

Now you're my bestfriend,my soulmate
I don't deserve you,but I still thank my fate.

Evidently,we took our own sweet time to reach where we are now
we would be together forever no matter how!
